The employees of Applied Biometrics GmbH represent more than 8 years of experience in the areas of biometrics, the development of fingerprint-sensor devices, device drivers, biometrics application software, and fingerprint authentication systems, as well as the evaluation of biometric components (sensors and algorithms) and complete systems.

Also, the topics security and fake protection are among the long lasting work areas of our team which represent the branches physics, mathematics, computer science, statistics and engineering.

Gerik v.Graevenitz

Dr. Gerik Alexander von Graevenitz (founder and CEO)

Dr. Gerik Alexander v.Graevenitz (CEO) has 8 years experience in the biometric industry and over 12 years in IT business. He was involved in various consulting projects in Germany, UK, France, Spain, USA, China (Mainland), Taiwan and Singapore. His Ph.D. thesis in management economics deals with the evaluation of biometric technology and the success criteria and market potential of biometric identification systems. He studied at the universities of Bonn (Germany), València (Spain), Aix-en-Provence (France), Kassel (Germany) and Bochum (Germany). Further he had research visits to the McGill University (Canada), Washington University (USA), University of Illinois Urbana and Champaign (USA), University of Chicago (USA).

Otmar Friedrich

Otmar Friedrich

Otmar Friedrich has more than 25 years experience in software development and network technology and was responsible for numerous IT and security projects in different industries in Europe, North America and Asia. He is an expert in security infrastructure, cryptographic techniques, theoretical models, relational databases and networked heterogeneous systems.

Otmar Friedrich studied mathematics at the University of Bonn. He is responsible for our customers in English- and Arabic-speaking region.

Michael Dorn

Michael Dorn

Michael Dorn works as a freelancer with biometric systems in various industries such as finance and insurance industry, the medical or IT. He leads training sessions and staff trainings for various companies as well as through sales training. He also performs as a representative body and distribution at international congresses and exhibitions. He specializes in relational databases. Michael Dorn studied law at the Universities of Würzburg and Lausanne.
